Ex-Celt Crerand slams 'dreadful' Rangers with Broadfoot the top target

Former Celtic star Paddy Crerand has described Rangers as 'dreadful' and branded Ibrox defender Kirk Broadfoot a 'Junior' player.

Crerand played for the Parkhead club in the early sixties before joining Manchester United where he was part of the Old Trafford side which won the European Cup in 1968 against Benfica at Wembley.

The former Scotland international keeps a keen eye on the Hoops although he is still based in England and scoffed at suggestions that Celtic had blown their chances of retaining the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title by only drawing against Dundee United at Tannadice on Sunday when a win would have taken them five points clear of the Light Blues.

Pointing back to last week's Co-operative Insurance Cup final between Celtic and Rangers at Hampden in which the Parkhead side deservedly (wasn't deserved at all, both teams were pish) won 2-0 after extra time, Crerand was scathing of Walter Smith's side and of Broadfoot in particular.

'Celtic will win the title,' (bollocks to that) he told Talk Sport. 'I watched the League Cup final between Celtic and Rangers last week and Rangers were dreadful. (aye and celtic were fucking fantastic were they?! what the fuck game was he watching? the tool)

'Who is that player Kirk Broadfoot? He should be playing Junior (non-league) football. (okay he might not be the best player we have but junior football? fuck off! hes a decent spl player, you're just pissed he almost fucked up that precious little cunt mcgeady)

'You've got to ask, is that how far Rangers have gone down if he is playing for them? But when you look back to the Scottish players in my day, then the standard of football up there is dreadful.'(then know what? JUST STAY DOWN IN FUCKING ENGLAND THEN AND KEEP YOUR FUCKING NOSE OUT, especially if your going to talk that kind of pish, 'standard of football is dreadful?' piss the fuck off)

He's talking as if Celtic are fucking amazing right now which they aren't,you just had to watch that cup final to see how bad both teams were.If he's thinks that football up here is dreadful then stick to the EPL and fuck off.We don't have the money to blow £20 million on one player in the transfer season,we have to cope with what we've got.

(Yeah i've noticed and it's fucking annoying.Everyone loves Celtic and Rangers seemed to be looked as Scotland's shame.)

I know, they're in just as much of a mess as we are. Bit luckier maybe but thats about the sum of it. The money thing pisses me off, look at that valuation of Boyd in Jan, 4m? Fuck right off, if he had been in the EPL anyway it would have been at least 10m. Just because he's playing up here it was lower. And look at the situation with wee Aaron, back in August it looked like a dead cert that we'd be able to buy him at the end of the 2 year loan now thats looking dead in the water. Fucks sake.

(Ugh, totally. Plus, I've noticed a lot of them talking shit about things they know nothing about. I mean there's things you just don't say isn't there? Just wish people would fucking think before they speak.)
